Using the word science like that just perpetuates the rift of misplaced assumptions. Not all scientists close their minds to unified existence, in fact a great many scientists and religious people recognize we are all part of the same infinite state of being. Some call it God, some call it the Quantum Field, come refer to it as the Cosmic Will or Universal Consciousness. Humans are quick to nail upon the cross all they reject, it’s a pattern that needs to be put to rest, not inflamed.

Yes, and I think the relationship with sleep lies therein. New memories, especially ones that are truly new experiences for the mind consciousness system, require energy, and time. This energy is drawn during sleep, and perhaps consolidated properly during REM sleep. The subconsciousness becomes the vehicle to make this happen. Great 3
