    That Penn and Teller episode was laughable in it’s understanding of the nature of why recycling is important. They spent the whole show debunking things that everyone in the recycling industry stopped believing 20 years ago. Will the do an episode on why the earth is roung and not flat? Probably. It’s easier to knock down a straw man.

    If you want to understand why we need to recycle compare the btu values needed to create an item from the raw virgin materials and then from recycled.

    yes! me too and penn and teller changed my mind about it! and now it seems weird how everybody alse has been told the same propoganda that recutling saves the planet and they believe it!…except the very few who have seen penn teller/ did sm research.(haha u probably dont even remember posting this cmnt cuz its been like 11 months but i was just excited to find a comment 2 1 of these videos that wasnt like “oh yea, everybody shud recycle =D”
